𝗔𝗔𝗣𝗬𝗢 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹, 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 ₹𝟭 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝘇𝗲

ITANAGAR, May 30: The All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Organization (AAPYO) has demanded the immediate suspension of all police personnel allegedly involved in the custodial torture of anti-drug activist Gumin Mize. In a representation submitted to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), North Lakhimpur, the organization alleged that Mize suffered grievous injuries while in police custody. AAPYO claimed that photographs of Mize revealed multiple bruises, swelling, and blue marks on various parts of his body, raising serious concerns over alleged custodial abuse. Citing the severe physical and mental trauma allegedly endured by Mize during his detention, the organization has also sought compensation of ₹1 crore for the activist. AAPYO urged the authorities to conduct a fair, transparent, and impartial inquiry into the incident and ensure strict action against those found responsible.
