DEFENSE WAGE BILL FALLS SHORT OF 962BN: AS FATE FOR RETIRING UPDF OFFICERS HANGS IN A BALANCE
The minister for defense and veteran affairs Jacob Oboth Oboth has appealed to the parliamentary committee on defense and internal Affairs to engage the ministry of finance to release the money for salary enhancement for retiring officers. While presenting their ministerial policy statement and the budget co-circular paper for financial year 2024/25 Oboth Oboth said the ministry has a short fall of 962 billion shillings in the area of wage.
