2 INCREDIBLE Quinta stays in Douro Valley, Portugal

We stayed in the Douro Valley for a few days, which gave us the chance to stay in 2 different places - and one was a bit of a budget buster! Is the splurge worth it? The Douro Valley region of Portugal has a huge variety of accommodations. We enjoyed staying in Quintas - accommodations that also produce wine and/or port. We stayed in a beautiful smaller Quinta for a few nights before moving to an extremely large posh Quinta. For the second Quinta, we opted to stay in a wine barrel - because WHO DOESN'T WANT TO SLEEP IN A WINE BARREL?! Breakfast was delivered by magic elves and made me feel like I was in a Harry Potter book. The first place had an incredible view though, and an absolutely fantastic dinner! We do a room tour of both Quinta do Bosque and Quinta da Pacheca so you can see the examples for yourselves.
