Beginner Canning Recipe: Spiced Christmas Jam!
This is one of our family’s favorite recipes! It tastes like Christmas! If you’re new to canning, this is a great beginner recipe. If you’ve been canning for a long time it’s great too! It’s just so special and yummy! I’d love to hear if you try it. Spiced Christmas Jam: 8 cups strawberries 2 cups raspberries 1 pound cranberries (4 and 3/4 cups) 5 lbs sugar 2 packages pectin 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ginger 1/4 tsp cloves Blend berries in food processor. Place in pot with sugar and spices. Bring to a full roiling boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in pectin. Return to boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Skim off any foam. Ladle into clean jars. Leave 1/2 inch headspace. Wipe lids and rims. Process in hot water bath 10 minutes. Cool for 24 hours. Enjoy!
