A common failure happens when rubber in the system cracks and leaks air or hydraulic fluid -- causing the onboard air compressor or hydraulic pump to eventually fail. This results in an immediate loss of ride height and renders many vehicles undriveable. Older, high-mileage vehicles will generally require multiple repairs to keep the system working. Some customers have spent upwards of five to eight thousand dollars or more (parts and labor) chasing a failing factory system. Don't learn the hard way!
