Starting from a corner fireplace built out of a cabinet, I draw the chute profile as a polyline, convert it to a thin solid, set its absolute height so the terrain reference doesn't throw it off, then revolve / intersect / extrude to wrap the taper around the corner. Finished off with a 3D fillet on the edges, a wall subtraction so the top of the chute reads cleanly, a stucco texture, and a raised floor material region for the hearth.
