Mezzanine Ridge Mt Barney hike: "Where the heck are we going?" 21 Oct 2023

While heading along the crest of the grassy ridge fairly early in the hike, with seemingly multiple rigdes and paths ahead of us Peter states: "The problem is Dallas: Where the heck are we going?" This about summarises our first trek up Mezzanine Ridge. On a hot spring day, this hike was long and tiring and it wasn't clear at the beginning where we were heading. The climb went on and on, up and up. The razorback on Mezzanine was quite enjoyable with great views and some challenging climbing sections. The descent down Logans Ridge was tricky given the many steep rocky sections but it was good to experience this route going down for a change. Overall a great day out and glad I can tick this one off the list. Won't be doing it again in a hurry. A 10 hr day.
