In short, the “Engine Fault, Repair Needed” error message will most likely refer to the 12V battery. This is the most obvious reason why it may be torturing you. But there are also other issues like combustion problems, AdBlue issues, emission faults, or even software problems and glitches. I strongly recommend you start solving the issue by checking and charging your 12V battery. In 80-90% of cases you will no longer need to go to the dealership after that.
