President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially commissioned Collector Roads 01 and 02 linking the Mabushi Bus Terminal to Ahmadu Bello Way in Abuja, marking Day 13 of a large-scale infrastructure rollout led by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as part of the administration’s performance scorecard, with the newly constructed corridors designed to improve traffic flow and reduce gridlock by directly connecting high-capacity transit from Mabushi into major commercial routes along Ahmadu Bello Way, while also enhancing district integration across Mabushi, Katampe, Jahi, and Maitama, as part of a broader FCT masterplan that includes previously completed road networks such as the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX), the N16 interchange linking Jahi to Gwarimpa, and multiple inner service lanes aimed at improving mobility and supporting Abuja’s urban expansion, with government officials highlighting the socio-economic benefits including reduced congestion, improved business access, and enhanced urban safety through modern infrastructure planning and street lighting systems.
