I Sold The Oldest Car I Own & Bought A 996 Porsche 911 Carrera That Wasn't Supposed To Be A Project

I make a LOT of decisions every day, and on average I think they're good. That means that some are bound to backfire. After careful contemplation and a VERY persistent local buyer, I sold my 1980 Mazda 626 because, well, I don't drive it and it needs to be driven. I also found something else that I would drive. A 996 Porsche 911 Carrera that checked the boxes I need to own a car like this. Uncommon color, manual transmission, factory LSD, and seemingly priced right. This car was recently gone through and I knew it needed a few tidily bits and some things I wanted to do to the car as well. Well, as you'll see... this didn't really go as planned.
