What I loved most about this place was how peaceful it felt. Small canals run through the town, traditional houses line the streets, and at times it felt like I had the whole place to myself. During my stay, I spent the night in a beautiful 130-year-old Japanese house, wandered through the historic town center, visited Sasayama Castle, and stopped by a charming café serving one of the best soufflés I’ve ever had.
