Their involvement ranges from the first steps of construction to the details of the decoration. Engineer The engineer implements the project developed by the architect. He leads and supervises the team and provides the necessary guidance to the construction professionals. He performs the calculations and structural designs, and handles the planning and execution of a construction project. Construction Foreman The person who organizes construction tasks. The construction foreman is responsible for supervising the professionals on site, acting as an intermediary between the engineer and the team of workers. He or she also checks materials, monitors purchases, and oversees service quality and delivery times. Mason The mason is the professional responsible for shaping the project designed by the architect, performing masonry and finishing tasks. The mason performs his or her duties under the guidance of the engineer or construction foreman. Assistant or Worker The mason's assistant is responsible for handling the heaviest parts of the construction, such as preparing cement mixes, organizing and transporting materials, and removing and transporting debris. Rebar Worker Works on framing, molding, bending, and cutting structures, in addition to overseeing the entire hardware area, preparing the work for concreting. Painter This professional appears in the finishing stage of the construction. This field can be divided into different specializations: exterior painting, interior painting, building painting, texturing, etc. Electrician Electricians install all electrical systems, including switches and outlets. They are responsible for installing wiring inside the building's walls. Plumbers Plumbers are responsible for adjusting the entire building's plumbing system. These are just some of the professionals involved in a construction project, but there are others—and no less important ones—such as ceramicists, marble workers, metalworkers, drivers, and machine and equipment operators.
