I went octopus fishing at the offshore breakwater called Nanko Shinhato on Yume Fishing, a ferry that departs from Sakai, a place I'd surprisingly never been to before! This breakwater is a great place to fish, with both octopus jigs and squid jigs available. At first glance, it looks like the footing is unstable, but once you get there, it's surprisingly safe. It's a highly recommended offshore breakwater! Octopus fishing is all about getting by on foot...but our breakwater-loving members hate walking.
