Bangladesh is a vast, densely populated delta where the Ganges and the Brahmaputra, two of the world's largest rivers, meet. Normally, during the monsoon season, an average of one-third of the country is flooded. The inhabitants have learned to adapt to these climatic hazards. But global warming is changing everything, increasing the flow of rainfall from the Himalayas and contributing to rising sea levels.
