These were the last recordings I made with my previous cable provider before switching to DirecTV. Unfortunately, the signal with my old provider kept dropping, which meant I went almost a whole day without TV. The channel lineup has shrunk considerably; I was used to the free-to-air channels, but they were starting to bore me. The switch to DirecTV was complicated, and there was some debate with my family. They weren't happy about me getting DirecTV since I had just turned 20. This caused confusion about whether the service was prepaid or not. At the time, I was already experiencing family tension about having DirecTV independently, so it was difficult. Despite the doubts, I installed the service, and I was solely responsible for the recharges I made, which I only did for a minimum of five days.
