In this video, I present the station footage of the historic commemorative train "Trifase 50," organized by the FS Italiane Foundation to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of three-phase electric traction on the Italian State Railways network. The service began from Milan Central Station, where the convoy departed, hauled by locomotive E.655.093, traveling via Mortara to Alessandria. From there, the train continued to Acqui Terme, a town symbolic of the history of three-phase traction, where the historic locomotives E.431.027 and E.432.031 were removed and placed at the head of the convoy, exceptionally restored to service to commemorate the final years of this fascinating electric power system. The two locomotives, part of the historical heritage of the Piedmontese Railway Museum in Savigliano, were returned to service for this special event, offering enthusiasts a unique opportunity to see two authentic symbols of Italian railway history in action.
