Scotland's Secret Corner

Hello and welcome to our YouTube channel! Join us as we travel to Scotland's Secret Corner. The south-west is almost forgotten by many tourists as they head to the Highlands, yet it has so much to offer, and a milder climate. We overnight at Scar Park which is the most unique Motorhome Aire we have ever stayed at. It is a former RAF military base which was used by flying boats who used Loch Ryan as the runway. We also visit the Mull of Galloway lighthouse which stands at Scotland's most southernly point with amazing views across to Northern Ireland, Ireland, England and the Isle of Man. We enjoyed lunch at Gallie Craig Coffee House before climbing the 115 steps to the top of the lighthouse, and we got a certificate to prove it! #campervan #scotland #lighthouse We are David & Ami, a Scottish couple who have been travelling and exploring together for many years enjoying all kinds of travel, from hotels, to camping, caravanning, car camping and now a Campervan. Our Campervan journey began in 2016 when we purchased a second hand delivery van, a Citroen Relay 2.2 H2 L3. We converted the van on the driveway at home, although self-builds are always work in progress... We love Scotland and the outdoors, and our Campervan takes us to all of the places where we can enjoy hillwalking, skiing, paddle boarding, cycling and spending time. Our Campervan is fully equipped for off grid living all year round, although we do also stay in campsites. We have busy lives, and van life is our escape for the odd night, weekend or longer break whenever possible.
