The weather models are currently quite active. The final surge of the extreme heat over France will eventually reach Germany as it moves away. The main runs of the American GFS model are predicting temperatures of 42°C in the Upper Rhine region. After that, a significant drop in temperature is expected – first gradually with thunderstorms, then with a northerly flow bringing polar air and rain. Western and Central Europe would thus experience a near-total change from one extreme to the other...
