I had been suffering from a skin disease since last year, and it had been getting better and worse without any known cause, so in late November 2024, at my daughter's recommendation, I went to a dermatologist in Sapporo. The doctor there said that I didn't have any allergies and that it wasn't dermatitis caused by allergies, and he gave me a referral to go to a larger hospital. However, due to various reasons, I ended up not visiting the dermatologist at the large hospital until late January, where I had blood tests, local biopsies, contrast CT scans, etc., and finally found out what the disease was. Luckily, there was a good doctor in my hometown who specializes in that disease, so I'm currently receiving treatment at a hospital about a five-minute walk away.
