Big Sur Campervan Adventure | 5-Day Road Trip on the California Coast

Let’s go on a road trip up the coast of California! We are taking a RV from Los Angeles to Carmel-by-the-sea, with stops at Santa Barbara, Solvang, Big Sur, and Monterey. Hope you enjoy, and if you have any questions about road tripping this road, don’t hesitate to ask below. Some notes about this trip you should know: Highway 1 is now open! You can travel the coastal highway again, since it was closed for the past few years due to a landslide. If you are traveling with a bigger rig like us, just be careful driving up the windy roads. It’s 100% possible, but just be aware and drive safely. On that note, be aware that Carmel-by-the-sea and Monterey area do not have big rig parking lots. Whatever the internet may tell you, it is wrong. Lots of new signs prohibiting tall and wide RVs. We ended up staying at a close RV park and just Ubering around. When traveling anywhere, please leave everything how you found it and leave no trace - pack out your trash, follow signs and enjoy the nature how it’s intended.
