Lantern Show and Night Market at Hoi An, Vietnam 2025
The Hoi An Lantern Festival is a magical monthly event in Vietnam's ancient town, centered around the full moon, where streets close, locals release colorful lanterns onto the Hoai River for good fortune, and the area fills with light, music, food, and cultural performances, especially vibrant around the Japanese Covered Bridge. Visitors can buy small paper lanterns to float on the river, take boat rides, and enjoy the bustling atmosphere, with the biggest celebrations often happening in February/March after Lunar New Year.
