First Bike Race - Chocolate City Crit 2024 (Cat 5/Novice)

Strava:   / strava   Result: 16th out of 56 Tried to just stay with the main group. Felt pretty good and in control of my legs, even though my heart rate was so high. Didn’t realize it was the last lap so ended up letting positions go without realizing we were about to cross the finish line. Lots to learn. There was a breakaway, but didn’t feel confident to chase it (not sure if I even would have been able to). Probably smarter for my first race to just be able to finish.
