«Мирискусники провокаторы, хулиганы, декаденты» Стендап лекция Маши Дружининой
In 1909, the "Russian Seasons"—a pioneering association of Russian artists, musicians, and ballet dancers—burst into Europe. Behind the "Seasons" was the team of the "World of Art" group—artists who had been shocking the public for the past ten years at exhibitions and in the pages of the magazine of the same name: among them Sergei Diaghilev, Alexandre Benois, Léon Bakst, Konstantin Somov, Valentin Serov, and others. In this lecture, we will trace the group's journey from a small self-study group to ambassadors of Russian style abroad. We will explore: where to begin if you want to conquer the world; what is more effective—a well-thought-out strategy or improvisation; can an artist be happy, and how not to despair if things don't go according to plan. The lecturer is Masha Druzhinina, author of the blog about the World of Art group "Breakfast with Diaghilev," a screenwriter, animation director, and independent researcher.
