A now-deleted cryptic Facebook post in November 2024 highlighted his distress, sparking concern among fans. Shortly after, Vena News reported that a Good Samaritan rescued him and took him to Level 5 Hospital, where he received psychiatric care. Days later, Desagu reassured fans in a video that he was fine. In February 2025, Tuko reported his first public appearance, where he seemed to be in good spirits, preparing for a Valentine’s Day comedy event. Desagu's struggles highlight a recurring pattern among Kenyan celebrities battling depression and substance abuse.
