The First Gulf War was an armed conflict that began on August 2, 1990, with the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. It ended with the liberation of Kuwait by an international coalition in the spring of 1991. To this day, the Gulf War evokes mixed and often extreme emotions. In this video, I present the events that led first to war, and then to peace—though not for long, as history has shown.
