Bugera BXD15 1000w bass combo review and demo ( caution if you are wearing headphones)

Bugera BXD15 1x15" 1000-watt Bass Combo Amp with Compressor This is my unbiased review and demo of the Bugera BXD15 1x15" 1000-watt Bass Combo Amp with Compressor. No BS just tell you what I hear and what I know about playing through this amp After playing for many years with a 2 Ampeg SVT heads and 3 cabinets on stage I know loud :), and this little thing is loud. Don't believe the Nay Sayers claiming 200 watts. It may not be 1000w RMS peak, but I can assure you it has a lot more than 500w which I use for my gigs out to a 400w Carvin 2*10. If you are looking for a reasonably priced powerhouse of a combo amp this is it. No it is not super light weight at 48 lbs. only con I found with this amp. Recorded using my IPhone no interface this is what it sounds like raw! I reduced the recording volume to 62% because at 100% the YT video was over power and distorted. Did I mention this thing is loud as hell? :) Bass Glarry UN-modded GIB https://www.glarrymusic.com/glarry-ib... fact based finds The power consumption spec is required by the safety agencies to be the minimum of 1/8 rated audio power (using RMS voltage at the lowest rated load impedance) OR higher IF the amp is designed to deliver a duty cycle greater than 1/8 average power (12.5%) and intended to be operated that way. For example, many of the bass amps that I design are designed AND INTENDED to be operated at a higher than 12% duty cycle (typically between 25% and 40%) so the input power must reflect this. Doing the math (this works with any power amplifier that carries safety agency ratings) Estimate an overall amplifier efficiency (let's call it 85% which is pretty good for class D) Multiply the listed power consumption by the efficiency and you get the average power consumed by the audio (less the losses) Divide this by the average power factor used (best case is 1/8-power) and this will get you close to the rated audio power in RMS terms. Using the numbers you guys provided: 140W x 0.85 = 119W 119W/0.125 = 952 watts "RMS" This is the best case based on international safety agency standards approvals.
