I Started TOO LATE… – A DEAD Tuesday Uber Eats Shift in Birmingham

I headed into Birmingham at 19:23 on a Tuesday evening, hoping to squeeze in a decent Uber Eats and Deliveroo shift. At first, things looked promising. I picked up from Pizza Express inside the ICC, completed a ridiculously short hotel drop, and then accepted an add-on taking me towards Smethwick. Unfortunately, that was about as busy as the evening got. Along the way, I met another Brum Eats viewer, cycled along the canals in the summer evening light, talked about finally seeing My Chemical Romance after waiting 20 years, and explained why putting me anywhere near a motorbike might be a genuinely terrible idea. By 20:45, Birmingham had completely died. Three deliveries. One fairly obvious lesson: I should have started earlier.
