A man who stabbed a nine-year-old girl to death as she played in the street has been jailed for at least 25 years. Deividas Skebas attacked Lilia Valutyte outside the shop where her mother was working in Fountain Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire, in July 2022. The Lithuanian national, who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, admitted killing her but had denied murder, claiming diminished responsibility. He was found guilty after a trial earlier this month.
