WaterAid Tanzania: Five Villages Water Scheme Project

This documentary showcases the five villages water scheme project in Arusha funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO). The project's also known as sustaining rural water and sanitation through innovative technologies, behavior-centered interventions, and management models (SRAWSITA) project in Arusha, Tanzania is part of DFID-Tanzania’s (FCDO) Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene Programme. The project is designed to provide access to 50, 000 people in five villages Olkokola, Lengijave, Ngaramtoni, Ekenywa, and Seuri in Arusha District. On 21st May 2021, WaterAid Tanzania alongside FCDO, handed over the successful completion of the project to the Arusha Urban Water and Sanitation Authority. The event was graced 180 participants (virtually and in-person) including senior representatives from the Ministry of Water in Tanzania, WaterAid Tanzania, FCDO, and regional/ district leadership in Arusha.
