La canción trata sobre los sentimientos de aislamiento que pueden venir con la exploración de la sexualidad y la identidad de uno, y le recuerda al oyente que no hay nada malo en ellos, sino que el problema persiste con aquellos que los tratan de manera diferente. Fue escrito como un homenaje a la comunidad trans después del retiro de las protecciones federales para la identificación trans de los estudiantes en las escuelas públicas.
