Nissan Almera расходует масло литрами? Исправляем ошибки другого сервиса. #fix4car #топ

Is it possible to determine whether an engine has been previously rebuilt simply by disassembling it? This video shows a real-life case from Fix4Car. A Nissan Almera arrived at our dealership with extremely high oil consumption. The owner had previously been told that the cause was a poorly performed head gasket replacement at another service center. After completely disassembling the engine, it was discovered that the cylinder head had never been removed. All the gaskets were factory-fitted, with no signs of previous repairs. The real cause of the excessive oil consumption lay elsewhere. During inspection, we discovered completely worn cylinder surfaces. The factory hone had virtually disappeared, and the cylinder walls had become mirror-smooth. This prevented oil from adhering to the cylinder surfaces, disrupting proper piston lubrication, leading to critical oil consumption. In this video, you will learn: Why an engine starts consuming oil; What is cylinder hone and why is it necessary; Why does a missing hone cause oil consumption? How does Nissan Almera engine inspection work? When can a cylinder block be rebuilt without reboring? What work is included in an engine overhaul? During the overhaul, we will perform: • a complete cylinder head inspection; • inspection and pressure testing of the cylinder head; • replacement of valve stem seals; • lapping of valves; • inspection of the crankshaft and bearings; • honing of the cylinder block; • replacement of piston rings, bearings, half rings, and all gaskets. After an overhaul, the car comes with a 5,000-kilometer (3,100-mile) or 6-month warranty. After 1,000 kilometers, the owner must return for the first service, where we check the oil and antifreeze levels, check for leaks, extraneous smoke, and other signs of malfunction. This approach ensures that the engine is fully functional and ready for further use. If your Nissan Almera has started consuming oil, smoking, losing compression, or is running rough, don't delay diagnostics. In many cases, prompt repairs can restore the engine cost-effectively and prevent more serious damage. Subscribe to the Fix4Car channel.
