BMW Driveshaft CV Joint | E39 540i Restoration

If your BMW is suffering from drive train vibrations it could be a couple of things. We always recommend inspecting the guibo (drive shaft flex disc) and the center support bearing as they are typically causes of drivetrain related issues. This rear CV joint is an often overlooked replacement item and it can be the cause of failure of the guibo and center support. We recommend inspecting this component for play an to replace as necessary. In my case I found my joint completely empty of greaase and falling apart while replacing my gas tank.
