My Tech. NOOK HD+ Cyanogenmod install with root and Clockworkmod
This is not a guide only an explanation of what I have done myself. If you do this to your own device, it is entirely at your own risk. What I needed 2gb-4gb MicroSD card and adaptor to connect to usb port What To Download SD Card Formatter Old link cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-ovation.zip http://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/j... New link https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?dev... gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=... NookHDplus-CWM-6046-for-internal-memory-rev0-07-13-14.zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/attac... First of all I placed the MicroSD card into the adapter and plugged it into the USB port Next after it had been recognised by Windows I opened file explorer and confirmed the drive letter. Now I installed and opened SD Card Formatter opened it and formatted the SD card ensuring I use the same drive letter and making sure the drive size matched my MicroSD card. This is a far better and more compatible formatter than that which comes with Windows. Now the tricky bit. I could not set the MicroSD card partition active in Windows Disk management. If I had done I would have removed active status from those on my PC. So I then followed this guide to set it active via the command prompt interface. http://www.groovypost.com/howto/howto... I used step 3 and the third and fourth command in step 4 Select partition # and active. I then copied; gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip and cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-ovation.zip onto the I next used 7zip to unzip NookHDplus-CWM-6046-for-internal-memory-rev0-07-13-14.zip And copied the contents onto the card also copying the file MLO first before copying the other four files on. BUT I did not use the tray icon to safely eject the drive as this caused it to lose the active status. Instead I removed the MicroSD card from the adapter and left the adapter still in the USB socket. I was then ready to begin the flash of CWW onto the NOOK. I placed the card into the SD slot on the NOOK and powered on Used the volume keys to navigate to backup my system and data and did a full backup. Used the power key to go back when it had finished not turning it off I then did a system and data reset Again I used the power button to go back and selected install from /external/SD cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-ovation.zip again after it finished I went back again and used the same menu choice to install gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip Then for the last time I used the power button as a back button to go back and select restart. Before doing this I had the card slot cover open so I could quickly remove the cared before the NOOK restarted. After restart I waited for the system to fully configure before starting to use the NOOK.
