🎬 The Escapee: Dark Comedy Horror Short Film (Twist Ending) Not All Nightmares Live in the Woods Velma is a confident, gun-toting country girl; Charlie is an anxiety-ridden city slicker. It’s an odd couple’s weekend camping trip that immediately goes south when they hear news of an escaped mental patient. Velma promises to protect Charlie, but as the isolation deepens, he starts to realize the most terrifying threat isn't the maniac they hear about on the radio. The Escapee is a 15-minute dark comedy horror short film that blends laughs, scares, and a truly unsettling surprise. ❤️ A Dedication This film is dedicated to my late best friend, the talented filmmaker Dan Zachary, who directed _MurderShow_. Dan’s spirit and passion for horror continue to inspire this project and our work. 🎥 Behind the Production After a fantastic shoot and a lot of hard work, we decided to skip the festival run and post The Escapee for horror fans just in time for Halloween. While a few visual effects were left unfinished as our focus shifted to new projects, we wanted to share the fruits of our labor rather than letting it collect dust. We hope you enjoy this raw, unpolished version!
