Winter Lavvu Hot Tent Camping in the Rain - Bushcraft / Military Surplus Gear & Gstove Cooking

Join me on my first hot tent camp of winter in the Polish Lavvu. For this trip, I use my winter bushcraft gear. A waxed canvas military surplus tent, canvas pack, and wood stove. Nothing about this gear is light, but it will last a lifetime. Luckily the trek to camp was relatively short. Once I find a suitable spot to pitch the tent, it’s business as usual. Wood prep, good food, a couple drinks and off to bed. It wasn’t suppose to rain, but starting around 6pm it rained off and on throughout the evening but I stayed comfortable as usual in the always reliable lavvu. The combination of rain falling on canvas and the crackle of the fire was a nice combination of sounds for the evening (could’ve gone without the muntjacs barking all night though).
