Start by backing up your data to ensure that nothing is lost during the transfer. Also, ensure that both your devices are in close proximity. Step 2: On the 'Welcome' screen of your Galaxy Tab S10, select your language and tap on "Start". Then, check the Privacy Policy and End User license Agreement and select "Agree". Step 3: With the other Samsung phone close by, select the source of your data from the resulting page ( Galaxy/Android Device) on the Tab S10. However, you may not have to, as the older Samsung phone should receive a set up prompt automatically. Tap on "Set Up". Step 4: A QR Code should appear on the Tab S10 and a QR scanner on the old one. Scan the QR Code to proceed. Step 5: Enter your old phone's password or pattern on the Tab S10 to verify yourself. The Wi-Fi information will also be transferred to your Tab S10 from the old phone. You'll be subsequently be signed in to all your accounts. Step 6: To connect to a mobile network, select "Scan QR Codes", "Search For Mobile Plans" or "Set Up Later in Settings". Step 7: Select "Next" to copy data from your Android device, then select "Agree" to proceed. Select "Allow" to give consent to all permissions for Smart Switch. Step 8: Choose whether you want to use a "Cable" or "Wireless" to transfer data to the Tab S10. If you choose Wireless, you'll be prompted to turn off Wi-Fi from the resulting pop-up. This will ensure a faster transfer. Tap on the "Disconnect" option. However, the cable option is faster. Use a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the two devices. Then, select "Cable" on the Tab S10 and "Send From this Phone" on the older one. Step 9: The two devices will now establish a connection. From the old phone, tap on "Connect" to confirm you wish to do so in order to transfer the data. Step 10: Your Tab S10 should bring up a list of data to transfer from the old phone. Choose the "Everything" option to transfer all data from the old phone. You can also select "Just Contacts, Calls, and Messages" to transfer only these. The "Custom" option will allow you to choose only what you'd like to transfer. Step 11: Once you make your choice, tap on "Next" on your Galaxy Tab S10. Then select "Copy" if prompted on your Samsung phone. To back up your Messaging data, select "Next" to transfer the data for the listed messaging apps. Step 12: You will be prompted to set up Biometrics on the Tab S10. Do so, or tap on "Skip". Select "Accept" in the Google Services page, as well as "Turn On Backup" if you so wish. Step 13: Go through the set up process for Gemini, then turn it on or do so later. Do the same for Galaxy AI, Bixby and Samsung Services. Tap on "Home" on your Tab S10 as the transfer continues in the background. Select the 'Keep Screen On' option on your old Samsung phone and keep it close by, until the transfer is complete. Step 14: Once the transfer is complete, tap on "Done" on the Samsung phone. Your essential data has now successfully migrated to your Samsung Galaxy Tab S10.
