This weekend was the big one... our annual trip to Keswick Mountain Festival! Over the past few years, I've ran (and filmed) the 25km Trail Run and the Three Peaks hike so this year, I thought I'd try the Skiddaw Mountain Race, a 20km trail run with over 1,000m of elevation gain. Yikes! I remember the 25km Trail Run being super difficult (Lorna found that out this year!) but this was a different kind of challenge. The whilst goes and after a nice jog around Keswick, the climb begins. You go up, up, up for 10km before... turning on your heels and running as fast as your legs will carry you back down to the festival grounds! What an adventure! ENJOY!
