Close Call With Our Pheasants!!!

Some days on the farm don't go quite as planned... 😅 Today started with our normal morning chores, but things got interesting when our beautiful red golden pheasants decided they were ready for freedom! 🦚 We were scrambling to keep them where they belong before they disappeared for good. After the excitement, we took a break from the farm and visited a local blueberry patch where we picked nearly 20 pounds of fresh blueberries! 🫐 Then we headed to another local farm to pick up 10 dozen ears of sweet corn. Back home, we shucked every ear, cut it off the cob, and spent the evening preserving summer by freezing 27 bags of sweet corn for the months ahead. It was one of those long, busy farm days that remind us why we love this lifestyle.
