DIY Drill Powered Drum Sander Jig

I built a drill-powered DIY drum sander jig from PVC pipe, a router sled base, and workshop scraps — and somehow it actually worked. The idea came halfway through my wooden bookmark project: the random orbital sander was too aggressive and too slow for thinning fragile veneer down further. So I designed this jig on the fly using my existing router sled as the base, a PVC pipe for the drum, normal sandpaper, and whatever was lying around. It's still very much a prototype. Version 2.0 would have a solid axle, real bearings, proper drum paper, and an adjustable bed for better accuracy. But for what it is, I was chuffed it got the job done.
