Also, the movements of guests entering the reef before you serve only as a reference to estimate the entry point; the actual standard for reeling in is the feel of the reef transmitted through your sinker and main line. Even if others are catching rockfish while you are the only one not getting a bite, do not recklessly lower your rig again trusting the reef height indicated by the captain. Even after passing the reef, you must wait for the captain to signal, "Lower again," or "Reel in" to minimize snagging and line tangling.
