Exploring Saigon - Street Fishing 🇻🇳 Vietnam Travel Vlog

Street fishing Saigon (again)! After four days exploring Bến Tre and the Mekong Delta, Ann and I return to Saigon. I have a second chance to catch some fish exploring around the city. Sugar cane juice is always a favorite drink when traveling around in Vietnam heat. The spots I found were simply by searching on Google maps for fishy looking spots, and then walked to them or took a Grab. There isn't much fishing information online, that I could find, on where to fish or where not to fish. I take note of where locals are fishing and what they are using for bait and lures. All of the fish I caught in this video released to grow bigger. My two favorite baits for catfish are bread or chicken heart or chicken liver, especially when traveling half way around the world with very little fishing gear and limited time to fish. My preferred hooks in this video were VMC RedLine Drop Shot and Neko hooks. For fishing line, Sufix 832 braid. For spinning rods, St. Croix Avid Trek (3-piece) and Triumph Travel (4-piece) Series.
