In this teaching for women, we study the first aliyah of Parashat Devarim, where Moses prepares the people of Israel to enter a new stage. We will discover the profound meaning of the Hebrew word Devarim—"words"—and how our words can reveal the heart, heal, correct with dignity, and open a new direction. We will also reflect on the journey from Horeb to Kadesh Barnea, a journey that could have been completed in eleven days, but was prolonged due to disbelief, murmuring, and fear.
