PROTESTING STUDENTS ENGAGE PREZ ELLEN JOHNSON SIRLEAF
It was an unorthodox scene and it may stand as the first of its kind in Liberia when protesting and non-violent students physically blocked President Sirleaf’s motorcade. The protest was midwifed by Government’s plan to shorten the national school calendar. The Liberian leader got off her vehicle and walked with the students from the Monrovia City Hall to her Foreign Affairs office where she held talks with the students. Mohamed Donzo, head of Montserrado Students, engaged President Sirleaf on the issues around the proposed closure. His eloquence loaded with extreme courtesy pinned great impression on the President – here is a Mamadee Diakite production. July 2, 2015
