KMi Deamon mini - maiden of v1

This was the very first print to power. I’m sorry for the hard to see video but being such a small plane and wanting to keep it a few mistakes high for the very first maiden; made it hard to see the white in this sunny day. Running a 2200kv on a 6x5 prop and 40a esc. This took a 3s 2200 to balance with the way it was printed. For life of flight this was ideal. About 5min with 40% left. Didn’t push limits just was seeing what it would do, hope it performed, Andy all other characteristics. Super easy to fly. This was the first time I flew at the 25% CG marker - ever. I typically fly at the 20% marker just to be sure. But the 25% was very stable and actually made it easier to launch since it didn’t want to nose down. All this work going into the calculators on my site is paying off! Ha I got an idea about spoilers to enhance the wash out for take off. This was an excellent idea. Made all take offs today super contract; even if the toss was bad. Still have to work on the rates. 2mm might be a bit much. It wants to nose up to much. Even with this throw, slightly bad, i was still easily able to catch it. I’m going to have to start doing this with all my planes that take a bit more effort to launch. As well as start making all 3 markers; 25, 20, 15 percent. I usually try to land in the 20-15 range. I expect a slight nose down tendency being a bit more nose heavy. However this new spoiler setup changes things. I have only ever used spoilers for landing. The tip was to add 1-2mm of spoiler through flaperon setup. This increases the small washout to a much larger wash out; without changing anything in the model and keeping the smaller washout for higher top end speed; and allowing more control at slower speed. Works perfectly!!
