ConFurence 6 - January, 1995

My first furry convention was ConFurence 6, held January 13-15, 1995, at the Airporter Garden Hotel in Irvine, California. The footage begins with some shots of the hotel lobby and attendees on the Thursday night before the con. Then a scene in my hotel room where I met my very first furry costumed character! I'm still friends with Red's owner to this day. (BTW, notice people say 'costumes'; the term 'fursuit' hadn't come into general usage yet.) Then a pan of the Dealers Den, another very early mascot-style costume (Furlup, by Shawn Keller), and a final shot of Artists Alley on the first day of the con. No more videos after that. I found lots more fun things to do than lug a camcorder around! Good times. Hard for me to believe this was all 20+ years ago now...
