Starcrawler (live) - Fillmore Detroit (Detroit) - June 8, 2023

Ok, I'll be the first to admit that this isn't the best clip. However, I'm posting it just to make note of something that I'm really becoming frustrated with at shows - The "3-Song Rule" for photographers at the beginning of shows. It's usually not an issue at smaller venues and clubs (where the crowd can be right at the edge of the stage), but it starts to come into play at 1,000-3,000 capacity venues (like the Fillmore in this clip). It's tiresome to have a gaggle of lazy photogs loitering and milling around in front of the stage for the first 12-15 minutes of a show (while everyone on the rail is getting pissed and saying, "Get down!" or "Get out of the way!"), and generally diminishing the excitement of the opening moments when a band first hits the stage. Now, if it's a two-hour set, then the photogs getting in your way for three songs is perhaps not that big of a deal. But in an instance like this, where Starcrawler is the first of three bands on the bill, and will only play roughly 30-35 minutes, then the photogs being in the way IS a big deal, because they'll be there for at least a third of the band's entire set! Anyone on the same page with this frustration? Anyway, here's the incredible Starcrawler opening the show with "Goodtime Girl"!
