Over 50s, last one of the season, and it is a bass-tastic day

match report by Keith Erridge Well our finale match of the year before our summer break took place at the car park Pevensey Bay . The day started with rain and quite a stiff breeze which made the sea look very fishy and within 10 min Mick Snelling had a nice bass in the bucket . After the first half hour several more bass were caught and it looked for a change we could have a match on our hands . Kerry Saint was doing well on peg 1 with a bass and eel double shot first cast shortly followed by another bass . On peg 2 Les Glazzard was also doing well and in his catch of bass and eels he had a nice sole . The other end of the match was also fishing well with Tony Kirrage having 3 bass on his card and Peter Ayres catching a nice Thorne Back Ray for 220 pts . Peter went on to win the match with a total of 550pts Kerry Saint was 2nd with 485 pts and Tony Kirrage was the 3rd man( Harry Lime) with 232 pts well done guys .
