Layana Resort & Spa is a luxury hideaway destination on the island of Koh Lanta in southern Thailand. Layana is a beach front 5 star luxury hotel situated at Phra-Ae or also called Long Beach. Beside the waters of Thailands’s Andaman Sea. The resort is adults only. They have 57 luxurious and spacious guest rooms, suites and villas. We stayed in the Garden Pavilion Room which has a private balconies with a beautiful garden view. From check-in (arriving by speedboat) to check-out was all done perfectly. All the staff including the gardeners were all really friendly and willing to help if needed. The breakfast and food in the hotel is great, however there are plenty of local restaurants nearby. There are two pools, one infinity pool overlooking the beach and one wellness pool this is a perfect oasis of serenity. The beach: Long Beach or also called Phra-Ae Beach is the biggest and most popular of Koh Lanta’s beaches. It’s a 10-minute drive from Saladan village and the ferry port and so easily accessible. Golden soft sand stretches for 3 kilometres and is fringed with tall pine trees. Long Beach is the perfect location for watching Koh Lanta’s amazing sunsets, which change the sky all kinds of colours over the ocean before the sun finally sinks below the horizon. Because Long Beach has such a wide, uninterrupted view of the horizon, it makes for spectacular viewing.
