Stained Glass Tarot Deck Review

This is a review of the Stained Glass Tarot Deck written and illustrated by James Edward. The deck was published in 2024 by Destiny Books. This review discusses the deck and accompanying guidebook and goes through the deck card by card. Tarotists can use this review to see if the Stained Glass Tarot deck is one that would be of interest for their collection and use. It is a 78-card tarot deck, 3 x 5 inches, or 7.5 x 13 cm. It is a Rider-Waite-Smith based deck, with 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana in four suits – wands, cups, swords and pentacles. The minor arcana have numbered cards ace though ten, and court cards page, knight, queen, king for each suit. The deck is fully illustrated. There is an accompanying guidebook, 325 pages, with an opening chapter on how to use the deck, a thorough introduction to tarot as well as the astrologic correspondences in tarot and the Jungian psychology correspondences with the major arcana, as well as a few basic spreads. There is an entry for each card with upright and reversed meanings; the meanings for the major arcana are very detailed, and as an added bonus James Edward has included some lovely poetry about each card that can assist the student in learning the correspondences through verse. This video is followed by a “for whoever needs this” reading; see    • Stained Glass Tarot Deck Reading   to watch see how the cards are used and if they resonate with you.
