You’ll be doing sponge baths at first until your baby’s umbilical cord falls off. In this video, I’ll walk through the basics of bathing your newborn baby! How to Bathe a Baby With many of my babies, I felt much more comfortable with the sponge bath so I just continued to do that for a while rather than doing a bath in an infant bathing tub (translation: I was scared out of my mind to bathe them in water!). Don’t be scared when it comes to bathing your baby, you’ll develop your confidence and you’ll get there.
